Using Meetn with Third-Party Software (e.g., OBS, VoiceMeeter)
There are some really great third-party software applications that work well with Meetn! Though please understand that our support staff may not be able to assist with any trouble or queries related to any non-Meetn software.
Below are some of our staff picks for software that we use personally and while we work with Meetn!
OBS
OBS, or Open Broadcast Software, is without a doubt the best virtual studio program to use!
OBS is a free and open source program, which means that the program code is public and developed by the community of hundreds of dedicated programmers. The program being open source means anyone can see the code that's running it and be assured of it's safety.
This program is the definitive way to create your content. It allows you to connect your camera, and even screen recordings, and more right into an all-in-one scene, then export the full composite to Meetn via the OBS Virtual Cam.
There's thousands of tutorials on OBS on YouTube and it's super easy to set up and get started! If you're looking to recreate more advanced visuals that you see on the news, big live streamers on YouTube, and such, OBS is how they do it and you can do it too.
Nvidia Broadcast
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/broadcasting/broadcast-app/
Nvidia Broadcast is a super powerful Video/Audio AI enhancement tool that runs locally on your computer. It adds incredible quality to your microphone and camera.
This program has a number of great features, the most impactful being that it can do virtual backgrounds with nearly the same quality you'd see in a professional green screen studio. And for audio, it's able to completely remove background noise. You could have a loud mini-split air condition in your room on max and not a single person in your Meetn room will hear it.
Nvidia Broadcast is an absolute must have free tool from Nvidia that will instantly level up your presentations.
⚠ Note: This software is only available to Windows 10/11 computers that contain an Nvidia RTX series graphics card. To see if you have one, go to your Desktop and right click on it. If you see an option called "NVIDIA Control Panel", click on it and the home screen of this control panel will tell you what graphics card you have. If you do not see "RTX" in the graphics card's name, it's not compatible with Nvidia Broadcast.
Voice Meeter

Voice Meeter, is an amazing virtual audio mixer board. If you're needing to provide your events a more complicated audio set up, like say you want to play live music into Meetn, Voice Meeter can make it possible.
Similar to how OBS takes multiple visual elements and composites them into one virtual camera feed, Voice Meeter does the same with audio channels. You plug in multiple audio inputs and set Meetn to use the composite output.
The user interface may look a bit scary at first, but it's actually pretty easy to use once you get used to it!
The free Banana version gives you two input channels to work with, but the premium options give you more.
ArthenTranscriber
https://github.com/Artholos/ArthenTranscriber
ArthenTranscriber is an AI audio/video transcriber program that is run completely locally on your computer. It's completely free and open source, as well as developed by our very own lead Support and QA engineer.
It's a little bit more technical to use, but if you follow the instructions on the Github page, you should be able to use it just fine!
ArthenTranscriber is a very handy transcriber that will take either video or audio files and process them into a plain text transcription and a fully formatted .SRT transcription file, which can be used for subtitles. It's also a great program for privacy concerns, as the ArthenTranscriber runs only on your computer, and after fully downloaded, needs no internet connection to function.
⚠ Note: ArthenTranscriber is not fast at all unless you have an Nvidia graphics card. So please be aware that the performance of this program is completely dependent on the quality of your computer's hardware. This is the trade-off for being a completely free, private, and offline program.
