Hosting a Meeting on PC vs Mobile
Generally speaking, when it comes to being the host, bigger computer is better. You certainly can conduct meetings or even large events from your smartphone, no problem! Though you may be more comfortable hosting a long event or managing lots of interactions on PC.
Everything you need to host your events is available on both desktop and mobile, so don't worry too much if you don't have a desktop or laptop PC available!
The benefits of hosting on a PC are mainly the screen real estate to show you more information. On desktop you'll be able to see more people in the Gallery / Audience views, it's easier to navigate and find widgets, and Meetn can take advantage of the typically more powerful PC hardware to improve performance.
The Main Issue with Mobile Devices
Battery life and heat buildup a much more of a concern when running Meetn on mobile. Video conferencing, whether Meetn or other apps, tends to use a lot more power than other apps. So your battery will drain faster and that creates heat.
When phones get hot, they begin a process called thermal throttling, where the phone intentionally runs slower in order to prevent overheating and damaging the battery or burning circuits and the user. This process happens automatically for yours and your phone's safety. Thermal throttling can not be overridden.
⚠ If you have an insulative phone case or are in direct sunlight, your phone is much more likely to reach its thermal limits and slow down.
⚠⚠
Thermal Throttling will slow down Meetn dramatically or potentially force it to stop. In worst case scenario your phone can shut itself off completely until it's cooled down

Now this isn't to say Meetn can't or shouldn't be run for big events! It totally can! You just need consider your phone's battery and heat limits, as well as what environment you're in.
