Uploading Presentations, Files, and Media to Widgets
You can use widgets to upload and share whole presentations, media like video, audio and pictures, and even share whole files with everyone in the Meetn room.
Whole Presentations
To upload a presentation like a PowerPoint or Keynote presentation, first you need to export it as a PDF. The way to do that depends on what program and OS you're using. But generally, it's typically done by choosing options like "File", "Export", or "Share". Put the file somewhere easy to access like the desktop or your Documents folder.
Once your presentation is fully contained in the PDF, go to your Meetn room. Open the Widgets panel, create a new folder for your presentation and click into the folder. Finally, click the Add Widget button (at the top right of the panel with the + icon), and choose "Upload Media / File".
Now you'll be shown your file browser, and you just need to navigate to your PDF and start uploading. You'll be asked to either split it into images or keep it as a file. You want to choose "Convert PDF to Images". This will automatically split the PDF into slides and organize them in order.
Now you're all set, but there's more you can do! Now you can add other widgets and put them in-between the slides if needed. For example if you reference a YouTube video or have a meditation song to play at a certain point in the presentation, you can add that as a widget too and simply drag it into the position in the slide show.
Media Sharing
You can upload and share most standard types of video files, audio files, and pictures. The process is super simple. Open the Widgets panel, choose or create a new folder for your media and click into the folder. Finally, click the Add Widget button (at the top right of the panel with the + icon), and choose "Upload Media / File".
Now you'll be shown your file browser, and you just need to navigate to your desired media and click upload.
That's it! Now your media is ready to be played.
⚠ Note: If your media file is not a supported playable / displayable file type, such as a proprietary media format, the system may not let you upload it or the file won't be playable in the Meetn room and instead offered to be downloaded by users.
Non-Media Files
You can share non-media files too! You can share all kinds of files, including text, word documents, spreadsheets, and much more! The process is the same as media files:
Open the Widgets panel, choose or create a new folder for your files and click into the folder. Finally, click the Add Widget button (at the top right of the panel with the + icon), and choose "Upload Media / File".
Sharing these files during a Meetn event will offer your attendees a download link so they can copy the file to their system. Please use this feature responsibly!
