Mobile App Requirements
On mobile devices, the native application is the definitive way to access Meetn. If you try to attend a Meetn event with a typical web browser on your phone, you'll likely be directed to download the application from either the App Store (iPhone) or the Play Store (Android). Android users can also download the application apk file directly from us from Meetn.com/android and install it manually.
This is because the mobile browsers don't tend to function well with the advanced webapps like Meetn. The dedicated app give Meetn the full power of your phone and thus, the best experience.
Currently, we support:
iOS versions from iOS 14 and later.
Android versions from Android 10 and later.
You may be able able to download and run Meetn on older OS versions, but they are not supported and we unfortunately can't offer any assistance with outdated devices. If your device's OS is too old, you'll need to update it in the system settings.
👉 Android Note: If your phone is unable to be updated to the latest versions AND was purchased through a phone service provider, your device might have been locked down by your carrier. The good news is that your phone can be unlocked, you'll need to contact your carrier's support or go to one of their stores and have them unlock your device.
Tablets and Other Devices:
If you're trying to use Meetn on a mobile device that's not a smartphone, the mobile app may or may not be the right choice for you.
- iPads and Android Tablets: Meetn may function on the browsers, as tablets are typically much more powerful than phones, however compatibility is not guaranteed, especially on Android tablets. The Meetn app from the App Store / Play Store is the recommended choice.
- Chromebooks: Chromebooks uniquely offer users the ability to download and run Android apps, however for these devices, we recommend using Meetn in your Chrome browser for the best experience. Though please keep in mind if your Chromebook is particularly old or low spec, you may not have a great experience on Meetn with either option. This isn't something we can fix, there are just some very low spec machines out there.
- Vision Pro / VR Headsets: Meetn has been known to work quite well with the tablet versions of the Meetn App on some VR headsets, though not all are confirmed and we do not officially support it. The only VR headset that we can assure you is compatible with Meetn is the Apple Vision Pro using the iPad application.
- Smart TVs: Meetn is not supported on smart TVs or similar smart display oriented devices.
