Browser Compatibility (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, Mac/Windows)
Chrome / Chromium
Meetn is explicitly compatible with Google Chrome. That said, you can expect Meetn should run perfectly fine on any Chromium based browser, as these browser all share the same source code as Chrome. Those browsers are:
✔ Chrome
✔ Edge
✔ Brave
✔ Min
✔ Opera
✔ Other Chromium based browsers
Please be aware that the default settings for different Chromium browsers may not be the same. Some browsers may prevent some of Meetn's features from working, like blocking camera, microphone, or screen sharing. If a particular feature of Meetn's is not working as expected, please try it on a default Chrome profile and check your settings to see if anything was blocked.
Firefox
❌ Firefox is no longer officially supported by Meetn. Unfortunately there has been intermittent instability and too few Firefox users to justify it. Firefox may work with Meetn, but it is not guaranteed and we do not recommend using Firefox
Safari
Safari is currently only available on Apple devices, Macs, iPhones, iPads, and the Vision Pro. Older versions of Safari for Windows and Linux are not supported.
✔ Mac Safari
Mac's Safari is supported and should work fine. You may need to go into your system preferences to allow mic, camera, and screen sharing permissions.
❔iPad / Vision Pro Safari
The Safari browser for the iPads and the Vision Pro is able to use many of the features of the desktop version, and in general should be compatible. We do try to support this Safari version, but it may not always work the way it should. We recommend using the iPadOS Meetn app on iPads and the Vision Pro, as the apps have no compatibility issues.
❌ iPhone Safari
We don't support the iPhone's version of Safari. iPhones will need to use the iOS application.
